New Management and Sunday Sessions
Artigiano is without a doubt, one of my favourite places in Reading and I’ve been a fan since it first opened. They do a fabulous combination of day to night, casual coffee to cocktails and I LOVE that!
If you’ve not encountered Artigiano before, by day it’s a coffee house and by night it’s a relaxed bar. The day time coffee also means that they do the best Espresso Martini in Reading…and a pretty decent Moscow Mule too, if you’re a fan of ginger like I am.
Now let’s put this on the table, if you do know Artigiano, you may have been recently and felt the experience was somewhat lacking, mainly of customer service. I know. I felt it too. I also felt a complete shift when I popped down last Sunday for the first of their Sunday Sessions and discovered that they’ve had change of management and with that, a change of attitude. The service we received was FANTASTIC! The whole place was back to the seriously great vibe it had going on when it first opened.
So now we’re past that, let me introduce you properly to Sunday Sessions. Artigiano has always been a supporter of local musical talent and their new slot is 3-5pm on Sundays and it’s a rotating slot, with jazz and electro swing sessions every other week. I was lucky enough to enjoy one of their jazz sessions, with the Jamie Howell Duo and it was awesome.
Picture this…you, your mates, a cocktail and some live jazz playing right in front of you. That was me last Sunday afternoon and it was every bit as sophisticated as it sounds. That could be you! The next jazz session is on 19th November and you can find out more about it here.
If chilled Sunday afternoons aren’t your thing, you can also catch live music down at Artigiano on Thursdays, as part of their Artis Acoustic Thursdays line up. Whatever you do, don’t miss out!
